In this episode of the Austin cable access show Therefore I Am, the philosophical show with a political edge, host Jeff Contreras welcomes author Fritz Springmemmer to discuss his book Bloodlines of the Illuminati, which has been reprinted twice. Fritz describes the Illuminati as the modern continuation of ancient mystery religions coordinated by councils and a supreme council spanning from India to the British Isles. These groups hoarded both genuine scientific knowledge and pseudo-knowledge to maintain power among a select few, with Christopher Columbus cited as an example tied to the Knights Templars.
Families and bloodlines are central because power passes generationally and because traditionalists require full-blooded members with long genealogies to wield full occult powers through demonology. This system involves generational Satanism and mind control via programmed multiple personality disorder (MPD), enabling participants to disassociate during severe trauma from horrendous satanic rituals and blood sacrifices rather than dying or going insane. Human sacrifices, not limited to animals, have continued secretly worldwide as a means for powerful families to gain power.
The Illuminati operates under 13 primary satanic bloodlines or tribes (chosen partly in mockery of the biblical 12 tribes of Israel), though Fritz’s book adds two more powerful families - the Reynolds and the Crup - based on inside information. Power struggles cause families to rise and fall, with figures like Bill Clinton and the George Bush family receiving special mention despite not always being among the original top 13. Surnames often change among descendants.
The structure is a pyramid with an “anarchy level” of eclectic satanic covens, witchcraft groups (three levels), and other lodges showing no clear pattern, overseen by a “hierarchy level” with three basic levels plus ranks, grades, and special councils. Fritz stresses that the public should be concerned because these families influence every aspect of life as the true movers and shakers. The Illuminati predates Adam Weishaupt (who was paid to create a modern structure); it traces back thousands of years to families who saw themselves as gods (examples include pharaohs, Alexander the Great, and Genghis Khan) and never relinquished power, instead operating through fronts and frontmen. At least 11 U.S. presidents are tied to the Merovingian royal bloodline, with genealogy charts showing 12 closely related.
The Knights Templars, after being outlawed, fled to Scotland and helped secure independence at the Battle of Bannockburn. The families’ mindset is one of innate superiority—they view others as ants or cattle born to serve them. With the rise of Christianity, they used it as a front by controlling churches built on ancient sacred (including druid) sites and ley lines. Post-WWII investigations revealed hidden occult altars under many Christian altars; satanic rituals occurred secretly while members maintained public Christian personas. Pagan elements were absorbed (e.g., the pope’s miter from the mystery religion of Dagon), and churches feature Masonic symbols like the cross-and-crown and all-seeing eyes.
Fritz’s research spans many years and includes direct work with people escaping the Illuminati, resulting in 140 boxes of documentation. Information is publicly available for those willing to scratch below the surface. Specific families illustrate the pattern: the Kennedy bloodline traces to ancient king Brian Boru and European royalty; John Jacob Astor rose from a crude German immigrant butcher to America’s richest man when Illuminati councils granted him the fur trade monopoly; Aristotle Onassis was rescued as a boy during the Turkish genocide of Greeks and rapidly became wealthy because of his bloodline—most members use other surnames after age-3 initiation by a grand dame.
In World War II, Illuminati families on Wall Street and the Krupp family (major industrialists who built tanks, locomotives, and steel works and viewed Hitler as their hireling) financed and armed the Axis. Allied leaders Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin were connected through bloodlines and Freemasonry (a continuation of mystery religions, with Illuminati bloodlines like the Sinclairs at the top controlling the lodge system while most Masons remain at low levels for the financial base). Events were manipulated, including Pearl Harbor (U.S. forces demonstrated the attack method; intelligence knew the plans in advance; planes were deliberately made vulnerable). An executive order allowed continued trade with the enemy, supplying Germany with oil, diamonds for V-2 rockets, and more—prolonging the war. Onassis’s 200–300 ships sailed all theaters unscathed through high-level collaboration.
The Bush family, tied to British royalty and Skull and Bones (an Illuminati chapter with degrading satanic rituals), exemplifies intelligence agencies serving as fronts for these families. Senator McCarthy targeted the powerful families and world order (not merely communism) and was thwarted and later denigrated as an example to others. Agendas are recognizable through pushes for central control, globalization (political via the UN, economic, and religious), and a “New World Order” (a term used by both Bush and Hitler, though the system itself is ancient). The same “bread and circuses” formula from antiquity—entertainment and sustenance (junk food, beer, football)—keeps the public pacified and happy.

What Exactly Is the Illuminati? (approx. 1:00–2:30)
The Illuminati is the continuation of the mystery religions of antiquity.
Mystery religions had councils that controlled them, plus a supreme council operating from India to the British Isles that coordinated them—this is today’s hierarchy of the Illuminati.
It is a way of hoarding knowledge and power to a few special people.
Some knowledge is genuine scientific knowledge (example: Christopher Columbus, associated with the Knights Templars, knew he could sail across the Atlantic and hit land).
Some knowledge is pseudo/bogus, used to attract people to join the mystery religions.
Why Families and Bloodlines Are So Important (approx. 2:30–5:30)
Families matter for passing power from one generation to another and for occult powers.
Traditionalist full-blooded members believe a long genealogy is required to be a truly powerful witch with all occult powers that demonology gives.
This is generational Satanism.
Bloodlines are maintained because of how they carry out mind control: they program members with multiple personality disorder (MPD).
To create MPD, someone must disassociate when severely traumatized rather than die or go crazy; the desired outcome is the creativity and dissociative ability to splinter the mind into multiples.
This ability is essential for the horrendous traditional satanic rituals and blood sacrifices; without the programming and MPD, a normal sane person would probably go crazy participating in the higher-level Illuminati rituals.
Blood Sacrifice (approx. 5:30–6:20)
Not chickens or goats—human sacrifices.
Human sacrifice has been fairly widespread throughout world cultures and history.
Powerful families have always felt they gained power through sacrificing other people.
The blood sacrifice read about in history books has never actually stopped; it has just gone into secret.
The 13 Families / Tribes and Power Struggles (approx. 6:20–9:50)
13 families are in control of the Illuminati structure (chosen in mockery of God’s 12 tribes, plus magical implications).
Fritz’s book lists 14 families because inside information showed the Reynolds and the Crup family were very powerful and deserved recognition.
These are more accurately described as tribes or bloodlines; many descendants use other surnames.
There is a continual power struggle within the hierarchy; families rise and fall and replace one another.
Other families become powerful in their own right and receive special focus (examples: Bill Clinton has become very powerful; the George Bush family).
The top 13 families today were not necessarily the top 13 families 200 or 1,000 years ago—the process of replacement is ongoing.
Illuminati Structure: Pyramid with Anarchy and Hierarchy Levels (approx. 9:50–11:40)
It is a pyramid structure.
Two basic levels: anarchy level and hierarchy level.
Anarchy level includes hundreds of satanic covens and addresses across the United States (plus other witchcraft covens and lodge systems); very eclectic; no discernible pattern because everybody believes differently; three levels to witchcraft.
Hierarchy level also has basically three levels, plus ranks and grades, councils with special powers, and special ranks and grades above the basic three.
Why Should We Be Worried? Historical Continuity of Power (approx. 11:40–16:00)
The general public is not concerned but should be because all aspects of their lives are influenced; these are the movers and shakers of the world.
Common misunderstanding: Adam Weishaupt (a pseudonym) did not start the Illuminati—he was paid by the families to create a modern structure; the Illuminati goes back thousands of years before him.
In antiquity, certain families were deified as gods (Pharaoh, Alexander the Great—who believed he was descended from gods, Genghis Khan).
They controlled people through their priesthoods in mystery religions and never wanted to relinquish power; they performed sleight-of-hand, went underground or behind the scenes, and used frontmen while staying in power.
Everyday historical examples: Henry Cabot Lodge; John Cabot (of the Italian Cabota family); the book Holy Blood, Holy Grail and its sequels showing European royalty and aristocrats descended from one single bloodline.
At least 11 U.S. presidents are part of that bloodline (descendants from European royalty of the Merovingian dynasty); genealogy charts show 12 American presidents very closely related.
Knights Templars Example of Going Underground (approx. 16:00–17:20)
The Templars had a long reign, were outlawed by the Pope and turned against by the French, then seemed to disappear.
They were able to flee to Spain and Portugal, then boarded ships to Scotland.
A decision was made to give Scotland its independence; the Knights Templars who landed helped in the Battle of Bannockburn and became very prominent in Scottish affairs.
Note on Braveheart: the movie ended before the Battle of Bannockburn.
Mindset of the Illuminati Families (approx. 17:20–18:50)
Since antiquity these families have believed they were gods and were worshiped as such in many periods.
They continue to pass this prideful belief down from one generation to another.
They believe they are superior beings born to be gods and rule us; we were born to serve them.
They often refer to us as ants or cattle.
Use of Christianity as a Front and Absorption of Paganism (approx. 18:50–24:30)
With the rise of Christianity they made a decision to use it for their own ends: established churches they controlled, went behind the scenes, and set up fronts.
Post-WWII commission found ~80% of damaged European churches and cathedrals had hidden occult altars underneath the Christian altar.
Churches were built on ley lines and ancient sacred sites (including druid sites); satanic rituals were secretly practiced in them throughout the Middle Ages to present times.
Members could have a front personality as the ideal Christian while participating in sacrifices on the Sabbat (Friday night) and preaching on Sunday morning.
Evidence includes winged reptilian gargoyles on churches/cathedrals and bizarre statues of naked people bent over (taking a dump) on the sides of cathedrals and churches.
Masonic trade guilds built these; the Catholic Church absorbed local religions and mystery religions (example: mystery religion of Dagon—the fish god—whose crown of authority became the pope’s miter hat).
Many churches have Masonic Knights Templar logos (cross and crown) and Illuminati all-seeing eyes (in the pyramid).
Example: Time Warner’s corporate symbol is an eye.
Research, Documentation, and Accessibility of Information (approx. 25:40–28:00)
Fritz has done many years of research and worked extensively with people trying to escape the Illuminati, which greatly helped his learning curve.
He had 140 boxes of papers, documentation, and newspapers.
A lot of information is right there if you scratch below the surface; they realize few people will look in the right direction, so they don’t have time to hide it all.
After reading Bloodlines of the Illuminati and gaining a basic understanding, readers start seeing these things all around them and can further their understanding on their own.
Kennedy Family as an Illuminati Bloodline (approx. 28:00–32:50)
Despite recent tragedies and power struggles (Kennedys on the short end at times), they remain major contributors; Ted Kennedy was an extremely powerful senator.
Media still calls the immediate family “America’s royal family.”
The Kennedy bloodline is far greater than JFK’s immediate family; descendants of Brian Boru (first Kennedy and one of the most significant kings in European history).
Tied back to royalty (JFK’s sister married into British royalty).
Movers and shakers do not become rich and powerful and then join the Illuminati—they become rich and powerful because they are part of these bloodlines and the councils decide how to divide things like the drug trade and monopolies.
Example of the pattern: John Jacob Astor (Aster family) came from a small German town (Waldorf), was a butcher who could barely speak English and was crude/gross; within a few years he monopolized the entire North American fur trade and became the richest man in America because the Illuminati councils granted the Aster bloodline (going back to antiquity, name derivative of a star) that privilege.
Onassis Family (approx. 32:50–36:00)
Aristotle Onassis fits the same pattern as Astor.
Family lived in Turkey; at the end of WWI during Turkish genocide against Greeks, a U.S. warship sent Marines ashore and rescued the obscure boy Onassis (story given: he had sold a bottle of liquor to the captain).
Landed penniless in Argentina; within a few years became a multi-millionaire (one of the richest people in the world) from being a dishwasher.
Became rich because he was in one of these bloodlines.
Most people of these bloodlines do not have surnames matching the bloodline; main connection is age-3 initiation/physical inspection by the grand dame who announces the bloodline, after which they go through life with other names.
Illuminati Control of World War II (approx. 36:20–48:00)
Illuminati families have created and manipulated essentially every war.
Wall Street Illuminati families financed Hitler to come to power.
Krupp family (major industrialists with thousands of factories; built tanks, locomotives, steel works) and other leading industrial Illuminati giants in Germany; one said “We’ve hired Hitler”—viewed him as their hireling.
American, German, and British Illuminati financiers brought Hitler to power; dialectics and issues were Illuminati family manipulations.
Freemasonry is the continuation of the mystery religions (like a glove in a hand with the Illuminati); most Freemasons (2/3) stay at low levels (financial base); top controlled by bloodlines (example: Sinclair family given headship over Freemasons, passed generationally; British royal family at the top in the UK).
Allied leaders Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin were all Freemasons; Churchill and Roosevelt were of Illuminati bloodlines; Stalin married into a prominent Illuminati bloodline (Kagangovich family, still powerful in Russian politics).
All three visible political leaders were on the same team.
Roosevelt campaigned on not entering the European war but entered anyway (parallel to Wilson in WWI).
Pre-WWII book already described aircraft carrier warfare in the Pacific between Japan and the U.S. before carriers existed.
U.S. military brought the Japanese Navy to Pearl Harbor and showed them item-by-item how it could be attacked; American and British intelligence knew the battle plans and watched Japanese fleet practice.
Day before attack, Roosevelt had U.S. planes put on airfields in circles with noses pointed inward so they would be hard to take off.
Executive decree allowed Secretary of the Treasury Morgenthau to exempt whoever he wanted to trade with the enemy.
Illuminati families (Rockefellers controlling Standard Oil, Onassis) given freedom to supply Germany with essentials (oil, diamonds for gyroscopes in V-2 rockets, military equipment designs).
Without this, the war would have ended easily by 1942.
Onassis’s fleet (between 200 and 300 merchant ships flying Greek flag) went unscathed in all theaters (Mediterranean, North Sea); essentially every other Greek ship was sunk; required collaboration at the highest levels while he made millions (perhaps billions).
Bush Family and Intelligence Agencies (approx. 48:00–50:20)
Bush family related back to British royalty.
Order of Skull and Bones is a chapter of the Illuminati with satanic undertones (initiates lay in a pile of manure and recount all sexual exploits).
George Bush was head of the CIA, became president; his son was running.
Intelligence agencies (CIA, KGB) have been co-opted and used as fronts for these powerful families.
KGB intelligence largely used to spy on Western industry and companies to take trade secrets for Russian capitalists/gangsters.
Senator McCarthy (approx. 50:20–52:20)
McCarthy was not just afraid of communists.
He knew exactly that there were these powerful families and a world order and went after them (targeted the Bundys).
Illuminati kingpins in government thwarted investigation into Bundy.
He has been used as a verbal punching bag and example of what happens if you come after them (denigrated by Clinton and Bush).
Recognizing Illuminati Agendas and Closing (approx. 52:20–end)
Look for things that are politically correct and the world moving toward central control and globalization (United Nations formed out of League of Nations; continual push for one political world government).
Not merely natural evolution through technology—definitely being pushed with a lot of money and effort by the global elite families.
Includes political, economic, and religious globalization.
Any agenda contributing to one world order / New World Order (term used by Bush and by Hitler, also of these bloodlines).
It is not new; they keep using the same formulas from antiquity (e.g., ancient Rome’s bread and circuses).
Give the common person entertainment and plenty of food (junk food); most people as long as they have their beer and their football game are happy.
