The more we can share the more people can understand. Drawing help both us to get it out and helps others to truly see what happened. I have been drawing and starting to share. It is a very vulnerable place and she is so very brave. Thank Carrie for being so brave as to share your memories in the open. Thank you Emma for providing that opportunity to survivors.
Holy shit. So many triggers here. I feel like I was remote viewing these events, or somehow had spontaneous clairvoyance where I saw and knew what she depicted in the comic book sketch. I channeled this into my writings and said “It’s like the bush in Uganda”. I saw the way they “trained” the children. I also know someone first hand that had kennel training and he was one of the Sovereign guys.
Wow. This is definitely one to come back to and process piece by piece. The way you did this here… hard to describe right now how helpful it is, but wow. Thank you Ems.
This is personal to my babes experience, but even just at glancing at her work (I only recall a few of these from the show, and what could be more beautifully horrifying??!!); I immediately feel the ‘guys in hoods (and other things I shouldn’t say here)’ that my babes have described. I’ll be coming back when I have time to truly dive in and start actually experiencing.
Thank you for helping me genuinely envision what my babes and Carrie and many of us have experienced. Carrie, you are deeply courageous and I can’t even begin to thank you.

She is one of bravest and courageous people in the disclosure of these atrocities and I follow many survivors.
I am amazed that she named one of her perpetrators that is still living. Carrie is fearless and I admire her so much!
