Introduction Excerpt:
“Today I’m honored to have back on the show for a fourth time: MK ULTRA, satanic ritual abuse, and organized abuse survivor, overcomer and thriver, loving mother, published writer and author, content creator and podcaster, Physician and Radiologist turned activist, Founder of the Angel Coalition and Co-Founder of Women and Children First and the Babushka Brigade, Star Fort enthusiast, award winner of the University of Washington School of Medicine’s prestigious Humanitarian Award, and absolute inspiration: Dr. Juliette Engel
If you’re new here, missed Juliette’s last few episodes, or need a refresher, here’s a brief synopsis of her life and a little bit about what we will be talking about today:
A survivor of the CIA’s sinister MK ULTRA program, Juliette has emerged as a beacon of hope, dedicating her life to rescuing the vulnerable and exposing the hidden scourge of human trafficking. Her humanitarian work in Moscow, where she founded the Angel Coalition, stands as a monument to her courage and unwavering commitment to healing a broken world.
Born in 1949 into a family entangled with OSS, CIA, and NSA operatives, Juliette’s childhood was stolen at age six when she was sold into MK ULTRA and MONARCH mind control programs. Subjected to relentless physical and psychological torture, including trauma-based mind control and “Sex Magick”, her early years were designed to fracture her mind and silence her spirit. Yet, at seventeen, driven by an indomitable will to survive, she escaped - barefoot, with no memories of her childhood - and forged a new path. Through sheer determination, she put herself through college and medical school, becoming a respected radiologist and physician. In 1990, Juliette’s life took a transformative turn when she sold her successful Seattle practice to establish the MiraMed Institute in Moscow, aiming to reform maternal and infant healthcare in post-Soviet Russia. What began as a mission to improve medical care for orphaned children unveiled a horrifying truth: state institutions were complicit in an international network trafficking young Russian girls to Scandinavia for prostitution. This discovery, echoing the control and exploitation of her own past, ignited a fire within her. She could not turn away. This is what we will be discussing on today’s show.
With boundless empathy, Juliette founded the Angel Coalition in 1999, an underground railroad that became a lifeline for trafficking victims. Over a decade, her network of villagers, educators, police, media, and government officials rescued tens of thousands of children and women, guiding them to safety across the former USSR. Her memoir, Angels Over Moscow, vividly recounts her perilous journeys through remote villages, her deep bonds with Russian colleagues, and her heartbreak over lives lost - like Zhenya, a spirited girl who haunts her memory. Juliette’s work also led to co-founding Women and Children First, a training center for orphanage staff, and the Babushka Brigade, a nationwide support program for single mothers, weaving a tapestry of care across Russia.
Juliette’s MK ULTRA past gave her a unique lens to recognize the mechanisms of control in trafficking networks - systems that thrive on breaking spirits, much like the programming she endured. Her advocacy exposed the collusion of global powers, including the U.S., in perpetuating this modern slavery, challenging the silence that once bound her. In 2013, her extraordinary efforts earned her the University of Washington School of Medicine’s prestigious Humanitarian Award.
Despite personal risks and the resurfacing of her own traumatic memories, Juliette’s faith and connection to a higher power - nurtured by her grandmother’s teachings of the Lord’s Prayer - sustained her. Her story, detailed in ‘Sparky: Surviving Sex Magick’, is one of triumph over darkness, inspiring survivors to reclaim their voices and heal.
Now leading Angels Over America to combat trafficking in the U.S., Juliette remains a warrior of compassion. Her work in Moscow not only saved thousands but lit a global torch for justice, reminding us that one heart, fueled by love and resilience, can dismantle even the most entrenched evils. Her legacy calls us to act, to see the unseen, and to protect the vulnerable with unwavering courage.”
Overall Summary:
Dr. Juliette Engel’s journey is a profound testament to the resilience of the human spirit, a beacon of hope amid the darkest shadows of human trafficking, mind control, and systemic abuse. Her story, deeply rooted in harrowing personal trauma and extraordinary humanitarian activism, unfolds across continents and decades, inspiring a call to courage, compassion, and relentless advocacy for the vulnerable.
Born in 1949 into a family entwined with covert intelligence agencies such as the OSS, CIA, and NSA, Juliette’s early life was tragically stolen at the tender age of 6 when she became a victim of the sinister MK Ultra and Monarch mind control programs. Subjected to relentless physical and psychological torture, her childhood was marked by trauma-based mind control and horrific abuse designed to fracture her identity and silence her spirit. Despite this, Juliette’s indomitable will to survive propelled her to escape at 17, barefoot and with no memories of her early years, to forge a new path grounded in education and healing. She put herself through college and medical school, ultimately becoming a respected radiologist and physician.
In 1990, Juliette made a bold and transformative choice to leave her successful medical practice in Seattle to establish the MiraMed Institute in Moscow. Initially motivated by a mission to reform maternal and infant healthcare in post-Soviet Russia, she soon uncovered a devastating truth: state institutions were complicit in an international trafficking network that exploited young Russian girls for prostitution across Scandinavia and beyond. This revelation struck a deep chord within her, echoing the control and exploitation she had survived. She could not turn away.
With boundless empathy and unwavering courage, Juliette founded the Angel Coalition in 1999 — an underground railroad that became a lifeline for trafficking victims across the former USSR. This coalition united villagers, educators, police, media, and government officials in a coordinated effort to rescue tens of thousands of children and women from the clutches of traffickers. Her memoir, *Angels Over Moscow*, vividly recounts these perilous journeys through remote villages, the deep bonds forged with Russian colleagues, and the heartbreak of lives lost, including that of Zena, a spirited girl who haunts her memory.
Juliette’s work extended beyond rescue operations. She co-founded *Women and Children First*, a training center for orphanage staff, and the *Babushka Brigade*, a nationwide support program for single mothers, weaving a tapestry of care and hope through some of Russia’s most vulnerable communities. Her unique perspective, shaped by her own MK Ultra programming, allowed her to recognize the mechanisms of control and trafficking networks that prey on broken spirits — systems designed to fracture and exploit just as she had been.
Her advocacy exposed the complicity of global powers, including elements within the United States government, in perpetuating modern slavery — a challenge to the silence and denial that once bound her. In 2013, her extraordinary humanitarian efforts were honored with the prestigious University of Washington School of Medicine’s humanitarian award.
Despite the personal risks and the resurfacing of traumatic memories, Juliette’s faith and connection to a higher power, nurtured by her grandmother’s teachings of the Lord’s Prayer, sustained her through the darkest times. Her story, detailed in her memoir *Sparky: Surviving Sex Magic*, is one of triumph over darkness, inspiring survivors worldwide to reclaim their voices and embark on healing journeys.
Her current work leading *Angels Over America* to combat trafficking in the United States continues to light a global torch for justice. Juliette’s legacy is a clarion call to act, to see the unseen, and to protect the vulnerable with unwavering courage and love. Her life reminds us that one heart fueled by resilience and compassion can dismantle even the most entrenched evils.
Early Life and Escape from MK Ultra
Dr. Engel’s early years were marked by unimaginable suffering. Sold into the MK Ultra and Monarch mind control programs at age six, she was subjected to a regime of trauma-based mind control and ritual abuse intended to fracture her psyche and render her compliant. These programs, orchestrated by intelligence agencies, used sex magic and physical torture as tools of control, breaking down children’s identities to create programmable operatives.
Despite the overwhelming darkness, Juliette’s spirit endured. By age 17, she escaped barefoot, her memories fragmented but her will to survive intact. She rebuilt her life from the ground up, driven by determination and a desire to heal the wounds inflicted upon her and others like her.
Humanitarian Mission in Moscow
Juliette’s move to Moscow in 1990 marked the beginning of a new chapter — both in her life and in the fight against human trafficking. Invited initially by the Soviet Peace Committee, a KGB international branch, she toured the city’s maternity hospitals and birth centers to help improve maternal and infant healthcare. She found conditions appalling: unsanitary facilities lacking basic hygiene supplies, lack of birth control, and women forced to have multiple abortions due to dire socioeconomic circumstances.
Her medical expertise in prenatal ultrasound allowed her to begin reforms in these facilities, but she soon uncovered a darker reality. Orphanages were overwhelmed, with 800,000 children housed and another million living on the streets. Many mothers, struggling with poverty and social collapse, were persuaded to leave their children in orphanages, only to have 90% of those children abandoned permanently.
Worse still, Juliette discovered that teenage girls were disappearing from orphanages, trafficked across borders to be exploited as sex slaves in Scandinavia. Her investigation took her from remote northern orphanages to the police departments in Norway, where she confronted the brutal indifference of authorities who acknowledged the trafficking but refused to act.
Building the Angel Coalition
Determined to confront this crisis, Juliette mobilized a grassroots network of activists, educators, law enforcement, and government officials across the former Soviet Union. The Angel Coalition became an underground railroad, rescuing thousands of trafficking victims and providing safe shelter and rehabilitation for survivors.
This coalition operated against tremendous odds: primitive infrastructure, government indifference, and the ever-present threat of organized crime. Juliette and her partners conducted hundreds of presentations in small villages, educating communities about trafficking and mobilizing local resistance. They developed innovative strategies, including a 13-hour chat room connecting universities across Russia’s vast 11 time zones, to gather intelligence and coordinate efforts.
Her coalition also trained members to work internationally, sending representatives to countries where Russian victims were trafficked. This international cooperation led to hundreds of women and children being repatriated, including a dramatic release of 900 women and children from Dubai prisons after negotiations with local law enforcement and the Russian consulate.
Encountering Resistance and Danger
Despite the success of the Angel Coalition, Juliette faced enormous resistance. Powerful forces profited from trafficking and sought to silence her efforts. Russian mobsters retaliated violently, killing close allies such as Genya, a courageous trafficking survivor who became Juliette’s trusted partner.
Eventually, Juliette was forced to leave Russia for her own safety. Her departure marked the end of a decade of frontline activism in a dangerous and complex environment. Returning to the United States, she encountered the same indifference and denial that had plagued her work abroad. The trauma of her past and the haunting images of trafficked children fueled her determination but also led her into deep personal struggle.
Healing and Advocacy in the United States
Back in America, Juliette confronted the painful task of recovering her own memories and identity. The programming and trauma of her childhood had left deep scars, including an inability to read the Bible without distortion — a symptom of MK Ultra mind control. Through faith, perseverance, and the support of friends, she gradually reclaimed her story, writing *Sparky: Surviving Sex Magic* to document her experiences and provide a roadmap for healing.
Her subsequent book, *Moscow Traffic*, synthesizes her work in Russia and the United States, exposing the global connections between MK Ultra programming, trafficking networks, and organized crime. She highlights how children, including herself, were deliberately targeted for their talents and intelligence to become tools of control — a cycle perpetuated across countries.
Juliette now collaborates with survivors and therapists internationally, especially in Russia, to address the shared legacy of mind control and trafficking. She draws parallels between the atrocities committed during the Nuremberg trials and the modern-day exploitation perpetuated by intelligence agencies that inherited Nazi scientists after World War II.
The Global Psyche and the Power of Words
Dr. Engel’s insights extend beyond the specifics of trafficking to the broader impact on humanity’s collective psyche. She believes that the trauma inflicted on generations through systemic abuse and control is fracturing society. Healing requires breaking the silence, speaking the truth, and confronting the darkness openly.
Her inspirational message is clear: the power to dismantle entrenched evil lies in courage and compassion. By sharing stories, raising awareness, and creating networks of support, individuals can transform pain into purpose and light into hope. Julieste’s life is living proof that even the most horrific past can be overcome and channeled into transformative action.
A Legacy of Courage and Compassion
Dr. Juliette Engel’s legacy is multifaceted — survivor, healer, advocate, and visionary. Her work dismantled trafficking rings, saved thousands of lives, and challenged global complicity in modern slavery. Her personal journey from victim to visionary leader embodies the triumph of the human spirit.
Her story inspires us to recognize the unseen struggles around us, to listen to the voiceless, and to act with unwavering courage. It reminds us that healing is possible and that every life saved, every voice reclaimed, is a victory against the forces of darkness.
Juliette’s message is an urgent call to each of us: to stand as guardians of truth and protectors of the vulnerable, fueled by love and resilience. In a world shadowed by despair, her life shines as a radiant example of hope, reminding us that one heart, dedicated to justice, can ignite a movement that changes the world.
In conclusion, Dr. Juliette Engel’s extraordinary life journey — from a stolen childhood in the grip of MK Ultra programs to a life dedicated to rescuing the trafficked and rebuilding shattered communities — is a profound narrative of survival, faith, and fearless activism. Her work in Russia and beyond reveals the insidious nature of human trafficking and the complicity of powerful systems, but also the incredible strength of human connection and the power of speaking truth to heal deep wounds. Her legacy challenges us all to be warriors of compassion and justice, lighting the way for a better, safer world.

Juliette is definitely the survivor I connect to the most. I read Sparky the other day. For me it was the little things that I was grateful for. Like describing what she calls ‘ annexes’ made up like familiar rooms. She pulls back a curtain and there is no window, it’s fake. This corroboration of the types of ‘rooms’ (annexes) where mind control experiments took places echos my own experiences. But as a survivor it’s so difficult sometimes to know how to trust my recall with no outside evidence. It’s these little details that hold weight for me.
Juliette had previously described her joy at finding corroboration for her truth with recently disclosed gov documents on the MK Ultra program. Here in the UK we have had no such admission. As I struggle to be heard regarding my own survival of satanic mind control networks/ experiments, and what Juliette describes as a profound lack of interest in the harms done to children, I wonder whether I should instead focus on outing the UK version of the program.
Where to begin? I think that knowing the names of the Nazi scientists who came to UK would at least be a start. I have no idea where to look. What would you do ?
